Sound healing has been around us since the beginning of time. Alerting our senses through the use of bells, drum, tingshaw before puja and sadhana is deep rooted in our culture. Drums made out of mud, brass, copper were used to create Naada(vibration). Naada opens our body, mind and soul and we can grasp the subtle energy of the deities and universe. Nagara, Sahanai, Kaal, Bijuli, Karnall Naada instruments are played during the Puja rituals in Devi and nath temples. Gorakhnath followers travels to communites to communities during night time and plays Pheri (instrument made out of bonesand horns) to cleanse the aura and protect the society from negative energies, belssing people with auspicious environment. Every breath in our body creates a friction through nostrils to windpipe creating SO HAM sound. Aahata nada are sounds created after the friction of two entities. Anahata nada are primordial sounds of the universe which are created without the friction. So our aim is to create healing frequencies, sound through naada instruments, singing bowls and gongs. Sounds will take you to meditative state. And in total silence we can hear the primordial sounds and frequencies (Anahata Nada). The very first subtle manifestation, after consciousness and energy interacted with each other, is sound. Sound is the manifestation of consciousness and energy in their purest form.
